Hi, I'm the Founder of Machine Learning Sports. I'm a 47 year old sports enthusiast and automation fan. My interests include the TV show Good Eats, indie music, Big Five hoops, Great Value brand microwave popcorn, fitness, and any sitcom that has been syndicated since 1991.
I played both NCAA football and baseball after growing up just outside of Philly. The biggest heroes of my youth were Bo Jackson, Hannibal Smith, Guru, Stewart Copeland, and of course Randall Cunningham. I do like to keep a low-profile, so the Chief Operating Officer Mike Ullberg serves as the daily leader of our support staff.
Some might say, my fondness for sports math was given direction after borrowing the book Curveball by Jim Albert and Jay Bennett from my local library and being gifted, one particular Christmas, a copy of Mathletics by Wayne Winston from my brother. Plus, another shoutout to Joe Peta's excellent book Trading Bases.
